Telmap Navigator now available for BlackBerry 8700

Telmap Navigator is showing their BlackBerry solution at CeBit, a trade show that opened in Berlin, Germany today.

The offering feaures turn-by-turn navigation with map, text and voice instructions.

The content specifically spotlights  "Points of Interest," restaurant reviews, hot spots, as well as hotel and theater listings.

Telmap Navigator is compatible with all BlackBerry 7100 phones, as well as with BlackBerry8700.

Here are five beautiful and free BlackBerry 7100 theme screens

BlackBerry-enthusiast site BlackBerry Cool had these first, but I ain't above spreadin' the link love about GUI eye candy.

Like these pretty BlackBerry 7100 themes from Keith.

Keith didn't design these themes, but he is making them available for free. These theme screens aren't downloadable individually, but they can be downloaded as a grouped Zip file.

I like them is what I think.

Two sets of polyphonic ring tones available for Blackberry 7xxx

Studio CutsMaybe your  BlackBerry 7100 has no distinctive ring tone. If so, I'd bet that many times, you have reached for it in a crowd of users whose handsets also lack distinctive ring tones.

A minor embarrassment, but one that would be avoidable if you downloaded at least one of two new BlackBerry-compatible Polyphonic Ringtones sets from Studio Cuts.

Both of these sets are compatible with BlackBerry 7xxx series models, and cost $5.99 ($5.39 for Club Handango members).

Rogers Wireless BlackBerry no longer means just the 7100r

Rogers Wireless BlackBerry 7100gRogers Wireless said today it has added the BlackBerry 7100g to its list.

Previously, the Canadian wireless carrier was primarily known for its BlackBerry 7100r. Now, they offer both.

In comments, Rogers Wireless vice president of Device and Product Management Raj Doshi seems to imply that the reasons for the addition are that they wanted to offer their customers more choices, and by golly, the BlackBerry 7100g sure is cool..

"We're committed to providing customers with a wide variety of choice in how they communicate in both their professional and personal lives," he said, "and the sleek, easy-to-use and feature rich BlackBerry 7100g is an excellent addition to our line-up."

The BlackBerry 7100g is $399.99 (CN=$340.00 U.S.) with a three-year service agreement from Rogers Wireless. With all possible rebates in tow, the carrier charges $199.99 (CN= $170.20 U.S.)for the BlackBerry 7100r.

Stock Tracker lets you chart your investments on your BlackBerry

Stock TrackerIf you are an active stock market investor, you know that information is not only "power," but hopefully a path to equity.

StockTracker can help you manage both the information and equity parts of trading. It offers customizable, full-featured charts and market data, customizable portfolio tracking, and watch lists that send alerts to your BlackBerry when individual stocks you specify attain a specific per-share pricing level.

A 60-day subscription purchase of Stock Tracker costs $9.99, or $8.99 on Club Handango. You'll  need a BlackBerry 71xx, running at least BlackBerry OS 3.8. But OS 4.0 wouldn't hurt.

Click the Read link below this post, and you'll be on track to the Stock Tracker page on Handango.com.

BlackBerry 7100r-seller Rogers Wireless tops customer respect survey

Rogers Communications logoI can't really debate the notion that on average, Canadians have a more polite culture than those of us who happen to live south of the 49th parallel.

With that in mind, I've just read a study by the Boston-based Customer Respect Group, rating 12 major Canadian telecommunications firms on how they treat their online customers.

The study says that Rogers Communications, whose Rogers Wireless division sells the BlackBerry 7100r, tips the list.

Graded topics:

  • Simplicity (ease of website navigation);
  • Responsiveness (quick and helpful responses to inquiries);
  • Privacy (respect for the privacy of the customer);
  • Attitude (customer-focus of website);
  • Transparency (open and honest policies); and
  • Principles (values and respects customer data)
Scores were compiled from points awarded to each graded website, in each category. The numbers were then crunched to form the Customer Respect Index that Rogers topped.

A "case" for BlackBerry 7100t and 7100r

Aluminum Case for BlackBerryI've only seen photos so far, but sometimes you can tell a case by its cover.

Near as I can tell, this aluminum case for the BlackBerry 7100t (T-Mobile) and BlackBerry 7100r (Rogers Wireless) is one of those products that is functional, sturdy and beautiful.

A rare combination in hardware, as well as in other constructs of industry and biology.

Functional: cut-outs in the right places allow email and phone use even when the phone is closed. Also, the protective window guards against scratches.

Sturdy: It's made out of aircraft-grade aluminum, a material that I was sure glad for the last time I flew.

Beautiful: I know beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, but take a look at the photo and tell me if you agree.

The case is listed at $39.99, but I've just found it on eAccess Solutions e-Store for $29.99. To go there, click the Read link directly below this post.

This space makes the case for Open Face Case

Open Face CaseI was poking around on the BlackBerry Accessories site BlackBerryDen.com when I came across one of the prettiest darn BlackBerry cases I've ever seen.

Made of full-grain leather,the Bellagio Open Face Case for BlackBerry 7100 has a removable swivel belt clip. When your BlackBerry is in the case, you have access to all side controls, and can see the full screen.

This particular model is compatible with the BlackBerry 7100t (T-Mobile) and the BlackBerry 7100r (Rogers Wireless).

The Bellagio Open Face Case costs $34.95, but  BlackBerryDeb.com has it for $29.95.

"Hmm- and I thought Bellagio was just that Las Vegas hotel with the fountain out front,"  BlackBerry Blogger and occasional LV visitor says to self.
