2. Cingular didn't drop the ball. You just reported old news.

They just changed the date as they have every right to do.

Thats the problem when you have an uncontrolled document in the hands of someone who shouldn't have it.

So now he is a "journalist"? haha right, and you can only report what you "feel" is credible? how about you find out the facts instead of posting your feelings, if TMOBILE has an exclusive till 12/01 obviously the cingular presentation is wrong, but you still posted it anyway?? So either you didn't know about the TMOBILE exclusive, which makes you not so in the know...OR you knew about it and still posted the bogus release date anyway which makes you an unreliable "journalist"...check your facts, don't just post ish

4. I have to agree with Big and Andy here. BG publishing leak info is useless and is a disservice to the BB community. Cingular has the right to change dates before publishing a launch date. If they had published a date THEN screwed it up people might have reason to whine. I hope someone nails BG in the future for NDA violations.

RE: 4. - but Cingular DID screw it up: they've been telling the Manhattan flagship store since Thanksgiving they were to receive shipment, and to this day they have no idea what happened - all I get is "any day now - let me call you back". Called the 800# and they said "we have over 2000 in stock, would you like one?" Tired of the hemmin' and hawin'...

7. I don't get it why are you blaming the messanger? For getting your hopes up? You knew that it was leaked information, which may have been creditable at the time, NOT solid facts. People are acting as if they really lost something by the date not being correct. What's a week. I just don't get it.
