BlackBerry Pearl software bug reported

The BlackBerry Technical Knowledge Center reports a bug that occurs when users install a particular itertion of the BlackBerry OS 4.2 on their Pearl.

The bug results in a "downgrade equired" message, and is only for the T-Mobile Pearl.

Problem:occurs when you download BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.0.42 from the T-Mobile U.S. website. When you install the BlackBerry Device Software on your Peal, a downgrade required message appears.

So why is this, you may be asking...
"The pre-loaded BlackBerry Device Software on the BlackBerry Pearl 8100 smartphone contains software that is more current than the BlackBerry Device Software available on the T-Mobile US web site," the document I am citing from (and link to below) notes.

The resolution is to go to http://www.t-mobile.com/bbupgrade/ and upgrade to BlackBerry Device Software version 4.2.0.64.
