Reader: Cingular "live help" told me Pearl was offered in error


BBHub reader Thom just emailed me, offering this exchange that he noted happened earlier this afternoon.

I was on the (Cingular) Premier site a minute ago and used the "live help" to ask a rep what happened to the Pearl that was listed earlier today.," Thom writes.

Then Thom provides an edited transcript of the session.

"RoXXX: Welcome to Cingular Wireless Premier Support, my name is RoXXX. I am reading your question and will be right with you.

"RoXXX: It was offered for pre-order in error, and was removed shortly after. However, it should be available by the end of next week at the latest."

So given all that's ahppened, how does this exchange strike Thom?

"So, again, left hand not knowing the right," Thom writes.
