A BBHub reader named Scott writes to tell me he was at the New York Marathon Expo today, where BlackBerry had a large booth.
"I asked them specifically when Cingular would have the Pearl," Scott writes. "They grinned and essentially said it would be before Dec 11th.
Scott notes there is a Free companion ticket offer valid until then. He also tells me BlackBerry reps said the Pearl woul d be on Cingular before December 11.
But hoo boy, that's not all.
Then Scott mentions to me that BlackBerry representiaves told him that there would be two versions of the Cingular BlackBerry Pearl- one with a camera and one without.
Update: we've been hearing from other sources that this information may not be correct- and that there will be one Cingular Pearl plus the non-camera-d 8800.
Surprising as that might be, there's something else BlackBerry told Scott that surprised him even more.
"But my biggest surprise when they said it would as thin as the T-Mobile Pearl, " Scott tells me, :but would have the same width as the others, with a full size keyboard."

1. sounds like the 8800 is the "Pearl" without the camera. Ive been using the 8100 and really enjoy having the camera. But the most important part is the 4.2
