BlackBerry 8800: an MP3 QWERTY on way but no camera

Code coming up, but I will be gentle.

Boy Genius reports to Engadget Mobile that a recent ALX file from RIM, contained the following entry:

"<os radio="GPRS" series="8800" Colour="True" Theme="Normal" JVMLevel="1.0" VoiceNotes="True" pttApp="True" Memory="Large" KeyboardType="Qwerty" Sound="Tunes8700g" SystemSize="normal" Bluetooth="True" MMS="True" ThemeSupport="Enhanced">GPRS/rimGammaRay.sfi</os>"

Let's interpret:

Voice Notes? Check.

pttApp-"True" Push to talk, Check.

MP3 Play availability? Check.

Oh, uh, Camera- So totally uncheckable.

For now, that is...

2. PTT is offered by Cingular only. The Platform.alx file has the PTT files pinned to the Cingular vendor code only, as well (although, if removed, you can load the PTT software on the handheld by default).

Also missing from the 8800 will be voice commands/voice activated dialing, which seems to be a fairly popular feature of the 8100.
