If you are a BlackBerry IT Administrator, and are hesitant about scoring a whole bunch of BlackBerry Pearl 8100s because you don't want some (or all) of your employees to take pictures with it, there's good news.
Good news, at least for you.
You can disable the Pearl's camera functionality.
You go about it by accessing the "Camera Policy Group" rules in your BlackBerry Device Software 4.2. You'll need to go to the IT Policies section of your BlackBerry Enterprise Server to do so.
Specifically, you can specify whether or not the camera functionality is to be disabled or not. If you don't get around to it, a default value of False will be attributed to the Policy.
