
The Blackberry Technical Knowledge Center has posted a Known Issues document describing why all of the contacts you inherit when you upgrade from BlackBerry Enterprise Server for Novell GroupWise 4.0 to 4.1 don't appear.
The issue occurs because contacts you have created prior to your BES upgrade cannot be correctly processed should you reactivate your BlackBerry devices.
Fortunately there is a workaround. This involves performing the following steps
- Remove the affected account from the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
- Add the account to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server again.
- Assign the address book to the account.
- Perform a security wipe of the BlackBerry device. For instructions, follow the Wipe Handheld procedure outlined in KB-02318.
- Re-activate the BlackBerry device.
