Here's why this is a document you may wish to check out.
As you may or may not know, the phone application in BlackBerry Device Software 4.0 lets you access your Address Book by typing characters within the Phone Hotlist. That's if- and only if- your Phone List View is not set to Call Log.
There's been a tweak in 4.1, though. You cannot directly access your Address Book by typing characters into the Phone Hotlist.
No can do, y'all.
So that means you will need to this directly by addressing your address book.
The quickest way to do this is by pressing the Send key (shown at right).
