Chris Ziegler of our sister site Engadget Mobile has just tested the CanWest MediaWorks' VideoPlayer for BlackBerry powered by SONA Mobile on a Blackberry 8700.
No mad props from Chris. He seems less than impressed with the one minute, 30-second long clip's four-minute download time.
"Reports on picture quality are mixed, but even if the videos crystal clear," Chris writes, "download times are going to have to improve for the product to be anything but a novelty.
Robb of RIMarkable is less than impressed either. Testing SONA on a BlackBerry 7130e rather than an 8700, he uses phrases like "grainy," difficult to see," and "quite horrible."
