Not that this has ever happened to me personally, (right) but I read in an advice column one time that when you have been replaced by another your feelings can get hurt.
I write this because U.K.-based IT support service company BancTec Service Europe has decided to replace all of its BlackBerry devices with GoodLink running on Treo.
BancTec exec Peter White explained the decision to buy 80 GoodLink licenses by noting that because Good Technology's GoodLink is device-independent, it is easier to manage than BlackBerry.
"In the enterprise space, GoodLink is the only true alternative to BlackBerry," White said. "We evaluated all the competition, but GoodLink was the only system that was better than BlackBerry, which is why we decided to use it."
