Mobile device database and software services provider iAnywhere has announced that its free AvantGo Travel Guide is available for BlackBerry.
The Travel Guide offers access to user account information for such services and travel companies as Expedia Corporate Travel, Travelocity Business, Northwest Airlines, United Airlines, and Sabre Virtually There. The Guide also offers a currency conversion tool, a guide to some 100 cities, and weather forecasts for more than 1,000 cities.
To obtain the guide, BlackBerry users as well as users of devices running on other mobile operating systems need a free AvantGo account, and must be running AvantGo 5.7 or above. BlackBerry users need OS 3.7 or above.
Once loaded, the TravelGuide is available for use as an additional tab within the AvantGo application.
