It's one thing, you know, when bloggers and techies say a BlackBerry game is cool. Even one like BrickBreaker, which comes pre-installed on many newer BlackBerrys.
But when a BlackBerry game gets official clinical approval, that provides an imprimatur we laypeople just cannot match.
Therapist Carl Arinoldo, a stress and relaxation psychologist in Long Island, N.Y. (a place that goes with stress) says that the game is good for business leaders because its production values fit in well with the competitive mindset that many execs have.
Like the goal of BrickBreaker- to blast apart problems and clear up clutter.
"There's no salary attached to it, no promotion," Arinoldo tells Shannon Proudfoot of the CanWest News Service. He says that competitive corporate types can just throw themselves into the game while closing out the world and still satisfying their competitive mature.
"It gives your mind a break, even though it's active," he says. "It's active in something that's kind of benign."
