Remember that eBay auction for a BlackBerry 8700? The one that incidentally peaked at more than $3,500?

But hey, guess what. A little after 6 p.m. last night, seller kchang1 pulled the auction down. According to the eBay page for this auction, "seller ended the listing early and pulled all bids."

Considering that kchang1 has had an excellent reputation among eBay users, I seriously doubt he was yanking anyone's chain. IMHO much more likely that BlackBerry-maker Research In Motion - who won't release the 8700 until next Monday, got wind of the auction and contacted eBay about it.
