The same source who first told me about the date and location of the Cingular BlackBerry 8700c launch parties now writes to tell me of communications he's received from his Cingular rep.
According to the source, the rep told him the scheduled November 21st launch of the Blackberry 8700c will be briefly delayed due to network improvements by Cingular. Enhancements to the handheld code are necessary and will require additional testing.
The new launch date is to be set later in the week and will be based on technical acceptance and expected inventory arrival at distribution centers.
When? Well, Thanksgiving falls that Thursday so that date would be out. But the day after Thanksgiving,Friday 11/25, is traditionally the busiest shopping day of the year. That means lots of potential customers will be encountering those Cingular Wireless stores. So I'd bet Cingular and BlackBerry would love to have their new device in the stores by Friday, November 25.
