Well, you do want to know. That's why you are here, right?
OK, let's get started:
- The keys are closer together than predecessor 7200 series models.
- The keys are rotated to a more vertical trajectory from their diagonal tilt on the 7200. That eliminates some spacing. If you have big hands, you might have a problem.
- The unit has "send" and "end" buttons- the lack of which can make ending a phone call somewhat problematic in earlier devices.
- The new screen display measures slightly more than 2.5 inches diagonally.
- The BlackBerry 8700c screen has 360x240 pixel resolution, up from the 7200 series 240x160 pixels.

6. There's 16 days of standby battery capacity - about twice that of the 7200 family.
7. The BlackBerry 8700c battery has four hours of talk time.
8. One of the two programmable buttons is positioned on the side of the 8700c.
9. You can "zoom" in on Web pages and images, but othere's no Enhance feature.
10. Sorry, no MP3 player..
As to that last point, those hoping for new leisure-time bells and whistles like an MP3 music player or a digital camera will be disappointed," the Associated Press' Bruce Meyerson writes today. "RIM is holding orthodox to its presumption that most of the 3.65 million BlackBerrys out there were issued by employers who don't want their staff playing with their gadgets or photographing internal operations.
"So, true to its roots," he adds, "the 8700 is still primarily an e-mail device, though with a growing emphasis on being a basic cell phone as well."

1. A one reason why I will be upgrading from my 7290 to this:
- It has "send" and "end" buttons, my girlfriend just throws the phone at me after using it because hanging-up is such a a nightmare on the 7290.
I have to have the full size keyboard, so the 7100 series are out for me.
