Being out on the water this weekend made one of this weekend's threads in the Blackberry section of HowardForums resonate with me.In the "How to scroll without the scrollwheel"? thread, Forums member and water-loving Blackberry 7290 owner tedya describes his problem.
"I use my BB on my boat a lot," he writes. "I keep my BB in a waterproof case made by
aqua pack. I have figured out how to scroll through the apps not using the
scroll wheel. But when you want to read your messages, how do you scroll from
one to the next without the scroll wheel?"
"Obviously I cannot use the scroll wheel from outside the aqua pack but I can depress the buttons on the keypad," he adds.
Well, tedya and all you other water-loving BlackBerry owners, there's an easy solution. Jase 88 is on the case (literally as well as figuratively).
"You can use the space bar to page down," writes the BlackBerry 7250 owner

1. Cool, my dilemna made the hub. OK, so I can scroll through the email using the spacebar. How do I get to the next email? I have figured out that I can press (n) for next and (p) for previous. (space) for page down and (shift)(space) for page up. But I have found that I can only get into my first email, and not my most recent. I have to keep hitting (n) next in order to get to the first message. I am wondering if there is an easier way to just select the first message rather than having to go from first all the way to most recent. There ought to be a keystroke for up and down just like scroll wheel up and down.
