No, I am not talking about downloading a trailer from a movie site. And no, the "Brad Pitt" and Angelina Jolie" reference was not a come on. Neither would be "Orlando Bloom," for that matter. It's legit. You'll want to read on.
This is about a new service from Twentieth Century Fox and Lowe's Theatres. Here's what you do:
Bring your Bluetooth-enabled Verizon/Sprint or Earthlink Wireless BlackBerry 7250 to one of these three theaters thru August 15: the Loews Lincoln Square in New York; the Lowe's Universal Citywalk in Los Angeles and the Lowes Metreon in San Francisco.
Each of these three theaters have lobby kiosks running a technology called Jack Service Point- a caching server for local-area wireless applications. But no matter- that's one "Jack" you don't need to know. It's set up for you to use.
And it just so happens that thru August 15, kiosks in these theaters will make available trailers of Brad and Angela's "Mr. and Mrs.Smith," Orlando's "Kingdom of Heaven," and "Fantastic Four" as well.
So you take your BlackBerry 7250 (or to be fair, any other Bluetooth-enabled) handheld over to the kiosk, and download the trailer for free. Takes 30 seconds to transfer, and it's yours to keep.
Kind of like a souvenir of the movie - a souvenir you can take around to show your friends.

1. Download a Brad Pitt-Angelina Jolie movie trailer - while in the theater.. i love it! would this work on a BB with any provider?... i have Cingular, but you mention only sprint and earthlink...
thanks,
