James Doohan, the actor who played and was Scotty on "Star Trek" the original series, passed on today.Not only would Scotty have loved BlackBerry, but he would be the ultimate advocate for it. Why? He was a devoted user of handheld and other communications technologies, as well as for the communication and data access potential of handhelds.
And here we see him, communicating with the Star Trek bridge from Engineering. A BlackBerry Enterprise Server killer app, fer sure.
Plus, as depicted in so many episodes, he was the ultimate IT workaround artist of Star Fleet.
