Over at HowardForums, there's an interesting debate going on about the merits of BlackBerry as a PDA.Forums member RIMarkable (he of the "Official, Unofficial BlackBerry Weblog") kicked off the "Email aside, How does BlackBerry Rate as a PDA" thread by noting that although he came to BlackBerry from Pocket PC, he still misses some features he had on his iPaq.
"Infra-red, memory card slots, more horsepower, and a stylus, just to name a few," he writes.
Opinion on this thread seems to vary.
Forums member and BlackBerry 7250 user jase88 raves about the 7250's color display. Member 9balla4life is an experienced Palm OS device user, but says that BlackBerry's "are the best device on earth, especially the" BlackBerry 7100g.
On the other side, halfempty complains that the BlackBerry can only handle simple PDA tasks, and can't do stuff like project management or play MP3 files. And while GregGebhardt says the BlackBerry is alight for PIM and calendar duties, he prefers the desktop interface on the Palm OS.

1. Wow, I feel like I have graduated to the next level of blogging. Thanks for the linkage. I should probably talk about this on RIMarkable.
