Frank Stone writes us from Iraq, where he is currently on temporarily assignment.Well-traveled in the Middle East, Europe, and the U.S., Frank has been experiencing some signficant service gaps in his T-Mobile BlackBerry coverage. If any of you readers can help shed some light on the problem and perhaps even offer a solution, it would be appreciated.
Frank says that he obtained good coverage last year in France, Germany, Italy and Israel, but now, he is unable to get coverage in Kuwait or Iraq.
He wonders if the location is to blame for his lack of coverage, is there a setting he needs to change.
"I have strong signal (5 bars,) but can't get past 'GSM" which means I can neither send or receive," he writes. He's already tried sending the registration message and performing a network scan.
If any BlackBerry users currently or recently in Iraq or Kuwait have any suggestions, for Frank, it would be deeply appreciated.

1. T-Mobile doesn't have GPRS Roaming in Iraq, but they do in Kuwait. This is why the user can't send and receive emails and PINs while in Iraq. The user can still text message however. The following link is a great resource. It will even show international coverage maps from T-Mobile roaming partners
