PDFs are among the most useful file formats. Because a properly built PDF file lets you see documents as they would appear in printed form, they can almost be works of art.

But how many times has this happened? The PDF file you are trying to open shows characters that are about four microns across, and unreadable. You have to keep blowing up the page view to make those PDF pages legible. The drill uusually demands just a few mouse clicks on your PC, but when you are dealing with a smaller display device (hint, hint), the task becomes that much more of a pain.

Terratial Technologies feels your eyepain and your eyestrain. They offer a server-based subscription service called DocHawk that enables full screen and zoommm viewing of PDF files you have received on your BlackBerry.

After you receive an email with an attached PDF file that is too difficult to read in default view, you forward the whole mess (email with th attached file) to Terratial. They render a series of more configurable views, and then ping you back with a link where you can read the enhanced PDF.

The service costs a total of $29.95 for three months, or $89.95 for a year's use.
