More information is emerging about palmOne's forthcoming LifeDrive. In the pipeline for some time now, this new PDA will be somewhat of a competitive threat to BlackBerrySomewhat of a competitive threat because as we can see on a pre-release spec sheet (linked below) somehow obtained by the U.K. based education-related site Handheld Learning, the gadget is part PDA, part mobile music player, part digital camera and with nearly 4 GB of storage, part notebook computer in the body of a PDA.
"Somewhat," because it won't come with a cell phone, but will have email, and Wi-Fi Web capability, as well as support for Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Adobe PDF documents.
Beyond the apparent marketing tag line of "What Drives You?," it will be interesting to seehow palmOne positions this device once it is released in the next month or so.
