Recently, mobile solutions developer and access provider 2Speak added a PDA2speak feature that makes it possible to send a VoIP-based voice email message from your smartphone to a PC, or even another smartphone.If you have a BlackBerry-enabled smartphone, and want to start using the you would perform the following steps:
- Point your BB's browser to: http://www.pda2speak.com.
- Complete the registration form.
- Once you register,you'll have access to 2speakPDA's address book.
- In the address book,fill in the email addresses and phone numbers of recipients you would like to use the service with.
Then, when you are ready to try the service, you would:
- Enter the mobile phone number where you can be reached.
- Open your BlackBerry's 2speakPDA's address book.
- In the address book, highlight the name of the person you want to call.
- In the highlighted entry,tap the "CALL ME NOW" link next to the name of the person you are calling.
- A few seconds later your BlackBerry's phone rings. It's you. Pick it up.
- With your 2SpeakPDA software open, specify whether you want to record a message to be received as a voice mail.
- Recite your message and then hang up.
- Your recipient will receive your email with a link that when opened, will send a voice message playable through their PC or phone speakers.
