Do you ever experience thumb pain when you use your BlackBerry?
WebMD is out with a new article that describes “BlackBerry thumb.” The piece quotes orthopaedic and platic surgeon Dr. Prosper Benheim as saying that because typing is a repetitive action and the BlackBerry keyboard is “so small, people are likely to press harder vs. a larger keyboard.
”So, he adds,” “the thumb on the BlackBerry does more than you would do with your fingers on a keyboard.”
To reduce the pain, Dr. Benheim recommends typing on your keyboard and then syncing to yur BlackBerry “rather than typing longer messages on BlackBerry itself.”
Have you ever suffered from BlackBerry induced thumb pain? If so, talk back and let me know your stories.
